本文认为,现代城市规划形成于19世纪末到20世纪初的二十多年间,是一个循序渐进的专业化过程,且以规则法制化、术语规范化、组织专门化、期刊学术化、人员职业化和交流国际化为特征。在此期间城市规划逐渐发展成为一门专业,规划思想也初步走向成熟,为日后城市规划的学科化和形成完备的系统作了一个良好的开端。
Abstract：It takes the point that modern urban planningis formed in a period about two decades from the endof 19th century to the beginning of 20th century, andit is a step-by-step process. This process ischaracterized as following: legislation of rules,standardization of terms, technicalization of journals,professionalism of practitioners, specialization oforganizations, internationalization of communication.During this period urban planning is gradually becomea profession, and the idea of planning moves to nearmaturity, and it forms a good outset for furtherdisciplinarity and a holistic system.
