近几年来,“景观”、“生态”等名词已成为规划建筑界的惯常用语。但在实际开发运作中,开发商却往往踯躇于景观环境方面的投资。事实上,经济与环境的冲突并非难解难分──通过对景观环境的巧妙利用和再创造可产生独特的价值。本文介绍的两例美国小型住宅区开发,正是基于对现状环境的充分调查分析和景观建筑师的指导性工作,在创造出各具特色的住区景观环境的同时,又为住区开发行动带来有形和无形价值。而对于规划设计者,“生态住区”和“景观设计”也绝非遥不可及。

: In recent years, the terms as "landscape" and "ecology" have become idioms in the field of urban planning as well as architecture. However, thedevelopers always hesitate about the investment in the landscape practical process. Actually, we can relieve such conflict just through the cleverutilization of landscaping. The following two case studies may give you some inspiration: good design makes a significant contribution to thevalue of a development project and the ecological landscape planning will never only be a delusion.
